Go out with a Bang!
Dec 31st
2010 will officially be over in a few hours, so why not top it off with a bunch of brand new FX for your game? That’s right! You got your Christmas gift in the form of a mod, and you’re rewarded again with some new effects to spice up your game. Aren’t you guys just a lucky bunch?

Moving forward into 2011, I hope there is more participation on the site and continued goodies from us as we try to keep the game alive for yet another year. We appreciate the support, and we wouldn’t mind if you continued to stick around for a little while longer.
John Jr. Presents: Captain America: Legacy
Dec 23rd
First and foremost, happy holidays to all that visit the site and keep it running. We really appreciate your visits, inputs, and the fact that you download our content. Many thanks to you. And since it’s the holidays, John Jr. decided to sacrifice some of his time to present you all with a gift. What is it? Just take a gander at this:
The newest mod to join our corral is Captain America: Legacy for FFv3R, which utilizes the various characters that have inhabited the mantle over the years and takes place in each characters respective time line. If you needed your Cap fix for the holidays, you’ve come to the right place. You will need to create your own executable file for launching purposes, but John has included instructions on how to go about doing that. Now, if you’re tired of reading, go ahead and download the mod from our mods page and get to playing!
Freedom Reborn Production: The Backup
Oct 6th
As you guys know by now, FRP1 went bust about a month ago, and that prevented anyone that was interested in grabbing those files from downloading them. Fortunately for you, Cmdrkoenig and I managed to back up all the pertinent files a little while ago, so now it’s time to let you guys in on the secret. We chose to put the items that were available to you when FRP was up on a mediafire site. You may be wondering why, and I’ll gladly tell you: There were a lot of files on FRP that would take forever to gradually add onto this site, despite having the space to host them all. I decided it’d be better to have everything in one location that can stay up “indefinitely” and has a searchable database, so everything you may want is easy to find. I’m not sure if we got everything up, and if we don’t, please let us know via our contact page, commenting, or over on Freedom Reborn. And that’s about it as far as introducing the site goes. I suppose I could give you a list of what you can find there.
- Some old FX and meshes by Beyonder
- A whole slew of FF1 and FFvTTR maps, including the ones already hosted on FXForce.
- The Guardians Mod + the remainder of my FFvTTR mods such as X-men Classic and Spider-man: Webs that Bind.
- A diverse selection of skins from Lude and Beyonder
- …And finally, Kuertee’s camera, AI, and mod stuff for both FF1 and FFvTTR.

Return of the Matrix
Sep 18th
As of last night, all three Matrix mods are now available on the mod pages. The Matrix Mod is on the FF1 page, and the sequels are on the “Mods” page. I hope you guys take the time to download and play all those mods as my fellow FRPer, Conduit, put a lot of effort into his creations, and it’s overtly noticeable upon playing. Enjoy!
The All Mod Post
Apr 14th
If you don’t know by now then you certainly haven’t been paying attention. We’re a site that loves to prop up and support our fellow community members as much as we possibly can, and I feel kinda bad that I forgot to promote a few new mods that have popped up over the past few weeks. Forgive me and follow along, dear readers.
DCUG
I don’t know how often you all kept up with the ongoings of the community, but this is a mod that has been in the making for literally years. Swarmed with controversy and disagreements, Benton Grey has finally gotten this mod out even though he had to make a few sacrifices with the content and it’s not fully finished. However, don’t let that stop you, this mod comes PACKED with content to better represent the DC universe ranging from meshes and skins to FX and actual playable missions. I’m not sure of the exact details, but I believe there’s over 4 main missions in this thing and it’s quite the big download (over a gig), so make sure you have some space if you’re ogling this one, my friends.
LSH – Title Screen
Feb 27th
Because a few of you wanted J.J. to add a title and some other custom screens to his recently released Legion of Super Heroes mod, John Jr. went ahead and did it up and put it out for you all to download on the mods page (or if you’re lazy, here). There’re no install directions included in the zip, but all you need to do is unzip the pack in your [mod name]\Art\library directory. Enjoy!
P.S., are you interested in John Jr.’s next mod project? How about giving this thread a peek. Could it be? The World’s Finest heroes back in action?
FRP Presents: PFX 1.2!
Feb 12th
I’ve been seeing requests for it all over the forums, and I figured it was about time someone did something about it. Although it’s probably not as robust or as put together as Alex’s EZFX, this pack comes with around 216 FX that I’ve made over the years + custom sounds that I’ve found to be suitable. A LOT of work went into this pack, and it may have its fair share of issues. If you happen to come across an error or two, please don’t hesitate to let us know either here in the comment section, on FR, or from the “Contact Us” button up above. Many thanks to The Ultimate Evil, Murs47, Electro, Tomato, Tommyboy, Beyonder, and others who’ve helped me create (or have created) all these fx over the years.
- This pack is set up to install into the BASE directory of FFv3R. If you want the FX to appear in FFX or other mods, you’ll need to merge or exchange your FX.dat and Sound.dat files. Make sure to back-up!
- This pack does come with some old fx that haven’t been put up on the site and some newer fx that were never released in any of the previous packs.
- If you want to download the file, please click here.
Legion of Superheroes, round 2
Feb 1st
What a great way to start off February, right? John Jr. has been working away on completing his Legion mod for awhile, and today, he finally brings it forth With a total of 8 missions and a wide-load of changes, why don’t you join the Legionnaires and see what makes them so great? Heck, why not download it and then tell JJ just how much fun you had? Unfortunately, as I’ve been told, so much was changed in the mod that a patch form was a little difficult to create, so if you downloaded Version 1 of the mod, you’ll have to replace it with the current copy. Enjoy!
The Road to Crisis: Aftermath
Jan 20th
The journey to Crisis might have been completed, but this modder still had a few stories left in him to tell. Crisis presented a great opportunity to have the DC and Marvel universes intertwine once more, but instead of losing focus on the heroes and having the villains drive the plot, the aftermaths brought attention to individual teams and characters back into the forefront. Of course, it was very important to me that I got around to tying up a few loose ends, and if I had to use Claremont’s Exiles to do so, then so be it.
The Road to Crisis, Pt. 2
Jan 18th
The road to Crisis was a year in the making, and I probably drove myself insane trying to get it done. Here’s part 2 of the retrospective piece where you’ll learn how the threat of the Renegades began to alter time in the Marvel Universe.
