How to Install Custom Sounds in FFVTTR
The question has popped up enough that I took the time to write a small guide on it. Hopefully, this helps anyone that found the installation of FX sounds difficult.
1. Collect the sound files you’ll be installing into FFedit for the FX of your choice, and place them in the “Sounds” folder.
2. Open FFedit and go to the Sounds Tab.
a. You may need to set up the Sounds path in the Options Tab to point to your “Sounds” folder.
3. Under the Sounds Tab, click “new.”
4. In the dialog box that pops up, type in “fx_[your FX name]_#”
a. Where the # sign is, you may type in any whole number from 1 to 3. The number determines when your sound file will play. 1= start, 2= core/middle, and 3= end.
5. After you have set up the entry, add in the sound file(s) in the “wave files” box.
a. You may then play with the sound options until it fits your needs.
6. Hit save. If all is done correctly, you should hear the sound in FFedit and in game.
