Ultimate Trio #3
Apr 21st
A month down the line and I’ve finally finished Ultimate Trio #3. I’m actually very happy about this despite how long it took me to get into issue 2. I just decided to rough it out and complete all the initial drafts before I jumped into doing all the detailed editing (which means I put Issue #12 and the Annual of my original comic idea on hold so that I could cross this off my list.). Anyway, this is the conclusion of the storyline, and as I’ve said before, this has wandered as far as it possibly could away from the mod outline/script, so if that’s one of the reasons preventing you from reading, then let me affirm you that beyond issue 1, the similarities die down dramatically. Speaking of issue 1, that’s also been updated significantly in the dialogue dept. and some of the scene positions have been altered. If you wouldn’t mind reading that again and giving me some thoughts on its current draft (4), I’d be very appreciative. Anyway, script 3 is below, and I’d really love any type of feedback you may have (even if you don’t finish reading… though obviously I’d like fully informed thoughts). Specifically, I’m iffy about the ending, so commentary on how to improve it would be ideal. Enjoy the read, folks! Heh, if I’m lucky, maybe Marvel will love it too and use Arcade more often.
Wave Update!
Apr 17th
Despite the fact that the FRP wave didn’t get much love (I assume not many people have it as of now as it’s still in beta mode), Google has recently made an update that allows non-members to check out the WAVE content without being signed in. So, check out the FRP Wave and participate in the action!
Writing is fun?
Apr 15th
I don’t really have anything to update at the moment because the majority of the FRP crew is busy with an assortment of stuffage, but I did want to gloat a bit. As of today, I have 13 pages of Ultimate Trio #3 complete! That’s amazing to me because Trio #2 took about a week to do, and #1 probably took around a month. I guess I’m really inspired of late and all the other comic work + editing (Hello, spotlights and highlights) I’ve done have paid off.
Well, anyway, that’s that. On the Horizon, I plan to edit and put up Evengers Ch. 3. That happens to be one of my favorite sections, so I hope you all read it and give me some feedback. Don’t be afraid to comment, peeps. Cmdrkoenig has shown me quite a bit of work he plans to put up one day soon, Chuckles has been hard at work on new skins, and who knows what else might be in store. Keep an eye out.
The All Mod Post
Apr 14th
If you don’t know by now then you certainly haven’t been paying attention. We’re a site that loves to prop up and support our fellow community members as much as we possibly can, and I feel kinda bad that I forgot to promote a few new mods that have popped up over the past few weeks. Forgive me and follow along, dear readers.
DCUG
I don’t know how often you all kept up with the ongoings of the community, but this is a mod that has been in the making for literally years. Swarmed with controversy and disagreements, Benton Grey has finally gotten this mod out even though he had to make a few sacrifices with the content and it’s not fully finished. However, don’t let that stop you, this mod comes PACKED with content to better represent the DC universe ranging from meshes and skins to FX and actual playable missions. I’m not sure of the exact details, but I believe there’s over 4 main missions in this thing and it’s quite the big download (over a gig), so make sure you have some space if you’re ogling this one, my friends.
John Jr. Presents: Ultraman Jack
Apr 13th
John Jr. has been on a roll recently, and he asked FRP2 to host one of his first skins. We were honored to do so, and we now present you with a preview of the finished skin below. If you want to grab it, click here.
Spotlight On: John Jr.
Apr 12th
Although he’s new to the community, John Jr. has managed to leave quite the mark on his surroundings. First joining with Benton, me, and a few other members in the creation of PCTales, John has quickly expanded out and created his own solo work, which now includes skinning. We here at FRP2 have decided to shine our spotlight on John Jr. in the hopes of exposing more of his deep, dark secrets. Let’s see what dirt we can exhume, eh?

Grenadier returns? Meshes follow.
Apr 12th
Well, you definitely cannot say that FRP2 is not on the ball with this awesome news. It seems an old mesher has returned to our mists, and with him, come gifts in the form of newly created FF1 meshes that can be used for the following characters: Iron Fist, Puck, Vindicator, Bengal, and Modred. We just want to say: “WELCOME BACK, GRENADIER!!!!” and a definite thank you for providing the FF community with more toys. Tis tre cool.
If you’d like to check out the meshes yourself, go give Gren’s yahoo group a browse.
Go Read Captain Britain!
Apr 8th
If you ever wondered why I loved Captain Britain and the MI-13 so much, well, now you have a chance to find out. Since the book is up for a HUGO award, Marvel has decided to put two issues of “Vampire State” on their Digital Comic Book site for everyone to read, and the best part is that it’s free! If you’re interested in giving a nice heroic, yet sci-fi oriented, book a chance, then go here and check it out: Captain Britain and the MI13
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Highlight On: Bucky Barnes
Apr 8th
The only constant in the world of comics is the illusion of change — anonymous
If the quote above is to be taken into consideration, then you wouldn’t expect anything shocking to happen in the world of comics. Well, a few years ago, the fan community was alarmed to find out that Captain America, aka Steve Rogers, was shot dead and he was going to be eventually replaced. Despite the fact that Captain America has died and has been replaced several times before, this particular instance struck a chord with people. Was it something truly unexpected? Was it the fact that Steve died in such a mundane way? Who knows, but it had fans taking sides and older fans spewing vitriol. Now that Steve is back and the mantle he once held is now secured by Bucky Barnes, I figured it’d be a great time to look at the transition the character of Bucky has made; and with that in mind, I sought out Brubaker fan, Murs of 47, to give us his thoughts. These… are his opinions and if you hate them… then he’ll be at the corner store on Monday.
