LSH – Title Screen
Feb 27th
Because a few of you wanted J.J. to add a title and some other custom screens to his recently released Legion of Super Heroes mod, John Jr. went ahead and did it up and put it out for you all to download on the mods page (or if you’re lazy, here). There’re no install directions included in the zip, but all you need to do is unzip the pack in your [mod name]\Art\library directory. Enjoy!
P.S., are you interested in John Jr.’s next mod project? How about giving this thread a peek. Could it be? The World’s Finest heroes back in action?
The Evengers: Chapter 2
Feb 24th
Picking up where I left off from the Exiles mod, I decided that Antron and Dragonfist needed to have a little subtle chat about who was really in charge of the Evenger team. If you may recall, during one of the final missions, the Exiles drop a few words of wisdom on Antron before he’s sent back to his world. He was warned that Dragonfist was eventually going to betray him. So what would be better than picking up Ch. 2 with those thoughts fresh on his mind? Find out how Antron and Dragonfist get along after that revelation. It was quite a doozy, eh? And don’t forget to pay attention to some of the information involving Daniel Kai (Dragonfist) and his actions within the team.
How to Merge Dats
Feb 21st
Merging dats is something that can be a little confusing the first few times you do it, so FRP2 decided to help you out with a little tutorial. Make sure you back up all your files before continuing!
Spotlight On: Zapow
Feb 19th
You might know him as one of the administrators on Freedom Reborn, or you may have stumbled upon his work in the superhero comic The Honor Brigade, but we here at FRP2 know him best as Zapow, the lawyer and friend of Dr. Manbot! Although he’s not active on the Freedom Force side of things, he still happens to pop up from time to time to make sure everything is running smoothly. So while we have his attention, FRP2 shines its spotlight on Zap to see what’s in the future for Toyboy and his friends.
The Road of Decadence
Feb 18th
Perspectives are funny things that everyone has and helps to shape them into the people we know and love (or hate). A few weeks ago, The Ultimate Evil and I made a deal where I would take a set of his photos and write a story that was inspired from it. Initially, I wanted an abstract piece because I felt that it would be easier to visualize ideas, but I eventually settled on nature piece that caught my eye a few months prior. After getting TUE to do a few minor edits to fit the photo into a certain mood I was going for, I began to write. The story was coming along fine, but eventually I hit a mental road block where I forced myself not to write. Around this point, I chatted with Detourne_me and shared with him a few ideas I had. He encouraged the “double perspective piece,” and a few days later I started story 2. Flash forward to a two days ago, I finished story 2 and began to think about how I wanted to end story 1. Unfortunately, nothing came to mind until today when I finally broke through my self-imposed mental block and wrote the conclusion. Hopefully, UE and anyone who happens to read the stories like it and give me some thumbs up. If he doesn’t, maybe I’ll get some good feedback. Anyway, the story is below. Let me hear your thoughts, OK? Oh, and don’t forget to check out UE’s Deviant Art page to see more of his work.

Highlight On: Psylocke
Feb 18th
Psylocke #1-4
Psylocke is a character that has a lot of baggage to her name, and this is before we even get to the stuff that came after Claremont revived her during his latest Uncanny run. She’s had her powers redefined, her original body has had its face burned off and was cremated, and she’s constantly used by Fraction as a walking psychic flashlight. What is it about this character that the current writers (excluding Carey) find so difficult to connect with? I’ve no real idea because her history isn’t playing a big part in any of the X-stories right now, but even though she’s all over the place, she’s usually not doing anything of importance. Enter Chris Yost and his Psylocke mini that he specifically stated would define what Psylocke can currently do with her powers. Did Chris Yost make a hit or another miss in a long line of failures for our purple haired psychic? Check it:
Ghosting/Repeating Mesh tutorial
Feb 15th
So, you’re having a problem with your FF1 meshes ghosting or “repeating” each other (animation wise) in FFv3R and have no idea how to fix it? Well, let me help you out with that. Follow along, students.
First of all, you’ll need the following tools. We’re going to be dealing with Python, so prepare yourselves. If you need help on where each file should be placed, click here.
The Evengers: Chapter 1
Feb 15th
Exactly one year ago from Saturday (Feb. 13th), I began writing volume 1 of The Evengers in an effort to flesh out the characters and the world they live in. Realizing that the mod didn’t provide the player with any prominent details, range, or scope, I set out to really dig into the minds of these characters starting with the female cast members Ms. Marvel and her rival Iron Girl. Of course, I decided that I should make a real change with Jean and make her very different from the motherly role she eventually embodied in Marvel’s main universe, and I decided that Iron Girl (Tonya Starks) should be an experiment that was slowly breaking free of her restraints. Why don’t you guys tell me how well I did as I show off chapter 1? It’s a 4 page read, so make sure you have some time on your hands.
Chuck returns, 3 new skins follow

Skopes Galore…
Feb 13th
Hi Freedom Folks,
I wanted to give away a few secrets of some of the Skoped meshes I recently released here on FRP2. Many of the Skopes I built have more than one skin, so you’ll find a few surprises when you view them either in the Character Tool or in-game.
The Creature From The Black Lagoon has two skins (one is B&W!), The Mind Flayer also has two skins, as do both of the Lizard Man Skopes. Several of the Star Wars meshes have more than one skin, too…. The Tusken Raider has two; both Greedo and Ponda Baba have two skins…. And lastly C-3PO has several extra skins (you’ll have to find out how many yourself, as I’m not telling…LOL).
I hope everybody enjoys playing with these Skoped meshes. The majority of the credit for these Skopes is due to the talented Tommyboy, whose great meshes I used to cobble these Skopes together with. I also want to thank Gryphon, whose base skins have allowed me to skin most of the characters I have made.
Thanks for stopping by, reading and downloading.
Dana
