FR Mod Re-Released

It was down for a short time, but Tomato allowed FRP2 to host the FR Avatar mod. If you want to play around with some community avatars in your game, this just might be the mod for you.

So many “News”, so little time.

Excusing the lame title, this week brings us quite a few things to play with. I finally got around to uploading the last 4 syn meshes I have, which includes Robot (Master), Robot Minion, Nazi_LL, and a collab. project between Syn, Tap, Thor Reborn/Mystik, and Goggles that resulted in the batmobile.

Also up is the spotlight on the UDCU/GL skinner, Murs, and coding tip #8. Enjoy!

Oh, before one forgets, AfghanAnt seems to have returned to skinning and you can keep up with him on his blog. Go check that out.

On the horizon:

Be on the lookout for another fx pack for ffvttr.

Spotlight On: Murs47

You know him as the creator of the UDCU skins that have yet to be released. He’s an avid Deadpool fan and has made several green lantern skins that many FF players enjoy. We take the time to shine the spotlight on Murs47 today so that we finally may know whether or not his insanity is in fact some rare form of genius or a horrible ploy to get us all to lower our shields around him.

New week, New release(s)!

This week on FRP2, we return from the week of nothing new with a few little gifts for you to shower your game with. Firstly, Torch, a member from the FR community, brings you a new mod focusing on the West Coast Avengers. That’s right, folks! Torch allows FRP2 to host its first EZScript mod. Secondly, a new Spotlight on the skinner/mesher Tomato. Lastly, two old school FFVTTR fx that didn’t have a home for awhile. That’s good enough, right?

Spotlight On: Tomato

He’s been part of the FR community through several incarnation and changes. Originally appearing under Antmannext, Tomato found himself growing and maturing with the community as he took up one skill after another. Today, we shine the spotlight on a real ripe fruit (or vegetable…or nut) as we try to determine whether or not his murderous nature is a sign of insanity or just his natural state.

Coding Tip #7

Another Coding Tip from Jands and Lude. Enjoy!

Creating a Random Spawn

The only issue in the editor with this script is to check the level extents from the Mission tab.

Spotlight On: Dr. Mike

He’s one of the pioneers in the FF modding circuit who has brought us “The Strangers”, “Tales of the Navigator”, and the revolutionary and oft-used “FFX”.Though he may not be as active as he once was, there is no doubt that Dr. Mike has left his mark on the FF community and shall never be forgotten as long as this game sparks life into gamers who cling to it. We take the time to shine the spotlight on Dr. Mike (2000) just to see how futuristic he really is.

Spotlight On: Syn

He’s one of the more ambitious members of the FR community and has come a long way since his first skin. Outspoken, diligent, and hard-working, Syn has managed to give the community enough toys to fill an asylum, which coincidentally was a site he once ran. Today, we shine the spotlight on Syn to see how unfluffy he really is.
